Maidan
The film tells the story of the uprising against President Yanukovych's regime in Kyiv, Ukraine, during the winter of 2013/14.
It captures the evolution of the revolution from peaceful protests in Maidan Square, involving half a million people, to violent clashes between demonstrators and riot police.
I visited Maidan Square the epicentre of the revolution on a trip to Kyiv and fell in love with the country, the city and the people.
